Here’s some good news for San Diego foodies. The founding chef of North County favorite Dija Mara, Ryan Costanza, is set to launch San Diego’s newest neighborhood eatery in North Park this month. Costanza’s Hoxton Manor will bring modern California cuisine and Southeast Asian eats to 3131 University Avenue starting July 21. Hoxton Manor will take the space previously occupied by Breakfast Company. Diners can anticipate Hoxton Manor to offer Asian ingredients in the context of modern SoCal cuisine. The restaurant will feature recipes from Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, and neighboring countries in mainland Southeast Asia. Costanza will be teaming up with chef de cuisine Cory Muirhead in cooking with charcoal, smoke, and fermentation using ingredients from Asian-owned markets, farmers, and artisans. The 2,480 square foot restaurant will feature a dark and moody vibe similar to the 90s era Lower East Side Manhattan or London. Expected to open on July 21 officially, Hoxton Manor will serve dinner from Wednesdays to Sundays. When it comes to the drinks, the bar will focus on gin cocktails and natural wines and will stay open until 1:30 am.
